Can I just show up? Yes! Everyone is welcome to all of our programs and events. If you see something that interests you, COME!
What are services like? If you’ve been to other Reformed or Protestant churches, our services will feel familiar. We usually have 3 hymns, readings from the Bible, a children’s sermon, a sermon, a time of prayer, and special music by our choir or guest musicians. Several Sundays a year are reserved for special observances, such as World Communion Sunday, Souper Bowl of Caring Sunday, Pentecost (which we celebrate with other congregations) and Children’s Day (when our Sunday school children run the service).
How long is the service? Services typically last around an hour. Special Sundays and Communion Sundays are sometimes closer to an hour and 15 minutes.
What about kids? We love all Children! They are most welcome. Children are present for the first part of our worship service. The Pastor invites the kids to come forward for the Children’s Sermon. Then children in pre-K through 8th grade can go to Sunday school, which is held in the Education wing of Fellowship Hall. There is also a staffed nursery for those children ages 0-3 throughout the service. Of course, if your children prefer to remain in the service with you, they can!
What about Communion? We celebrate the Christian practice of communion on the first Sunday of the month; all are welcome to join in this celebration of our risen Lord.
How do I get to know people? Attending Coffee Hour following worship is a fun and easy way for us to meet and get to know you. We also have various opportunities for spiritual enrichment during the week. Feel free to drop in . . . even if you have never visited before. Go to our CALENDAR for more information and join us in an upcoming event.
What if I am late? Come anyway! You are always welcome!
What should I wear? Come as you are. It doesn’t matter what you wear, what matters most is that you join us.
Will there be food? We love to eat! Join us every Sunday after worship for a free Hot Lunch, in addition to coffee, a home-baked snack and fellowship.
Is the church handicap accessible? The church sanctuary and thrift shop are wheelchair accessible. Large print bulletins are available for the visually impaired and print out sermons are available upon request for the hearing impaired. For questions about accessibility in other church facilities, contact us.
